国公立２次試験に向けて新校舎の自習室で猛勉強中の卒業生！きっと桜は咲くよ！

A new walkway(通路) is being built between the Iris Center and the gymnasium. This new walkway will connect all the buildings on campus.

The new high school building is beautiful, but the old high building has many memories for many people.

今日から中学３年生もテストに入りました。明日が数学のテストなので、多くの生徒が質問に来ます。一番人気は
「３個のさいころを同時に投げるとき、出る目の最小値が４である確率を求めよ」

という問題。生徒にとってイメージがつかみにくいようですが、いきなり３個ではなく、まずは２個の場合について表を書けば右のようになります。ここで、正方形の差を取る感覚が大切です。
同様に考えれば、３個の場合は立方体の差を取れば良いことになって、容易に解決します。実はこれは、以前模型を作りました。それが写真です。これを見れば、最大値が幾らの場合でも、またさいころが増えてもばっちり応用できますね。
ところで、果たして明日のテストにこの問題が出るのでしょうか。

これは中３が作った「紙ねんど兄弟」です。机間巡視中、教室の後ろに飾ってあるのを見つけ、「かわいい～～～！」と絶賛したら本人がプレゼントしてくれました。ずっと私の机に飾ってあります。大小のバランスと、それぞれの手足に雰囲気があります。たまりません！生徒の才能というかセンスは非常に優れていて、そんないい刺激を受けながらの教員はいつまでも若くいられるのではないかと思ったりします。生徒たちよ、ありがとう！

In this morning's assembly, the sports clubs appealed for new members. It is great that Jogakuin has so many different sports clubs.
